Rezi #50 "Seelenriss" von Hanna Winter

Wuuuhuuuu die 50ste Rezension auf meinem Blog!! Whooot whooot! *rumtanz* Yay :D hihi

Inhalt

:D Nur so weiter ♥

Fazit

>>> (Quelle: amazon.de)

Cover

Charaktere
Cat - Ich mag Cat richtig gerne!

5 von 5 Punkten! ♥

Title: Love's Second Chance

Author: LP Dover

Genre: Contemporary Romance

Tour Host: Lady Amber's Tours

Synopsis:
Korinne Anders had it all. She had the perfect job, the perfect house, and the perfect husband. When tragedy strikes, her world takes a devastating turn. Six months after losing her husband to a car accident, Korinne vows it to herself never to love again. If she doesn’t allow another man in her heart, then there’s no reason for her to feel the pain of loss. This plan seems to work, but is put to the test when Korinne’s best friend can’t stand to see her suffering any longer.
Korinne’s long-time friend, Jenna Perry, has an idea and it involves helping her friend find the spark of life in her soul no matter what it takes. Korinne didn’t know that Jenna’s plan meant bringing back a past love, a second chance with the man that Korinne had to leave in college, but always kept a place for in her heart.
When Galen Matthews learns of Korinne’s loss and that she’s finally moved back home, he wants nothing more than to be there for her. The love he felt for Korinne years ago has never left him, and now he’s given a second chance to not only mend her heart of her loss, but to also continue the love they shared in the past. Will his love and determination make her strong enough to give fate a second chance, or will her fear of losing another love make her run away?
What will Korinne do when she’s faced with a love so powerful that no matter what she does there’s nowhere to run from it?

Review (I bought a copy by myself and read it and here's my review :)):
Cover
That cover is stunning and I just love it! ♥ As soon as it is possible, I'll buy the print version of the book just to have it in my bookshelf and that I can hold it in my hands! :D Well done! ♥

Content
Maybe spoiler!
I really loved the idea, the storyline of "Love's Second Chance"! It was wonderful to start to read it, because i had a picture, an imagination of what I want to read in that book. I would love to say, that my expectations came true, but they don't. Sadly! I just flew through the story, yes, it was an easy read. But there are a few facts that made it not that good like I expected it.
1. everything was too fast! The story started with Korinne at her parents house after the accident and death of Carson. After reading the book I think it would have been better to start with the accident itself and then Korinne's way through that loss and so on.
2. I've never.... Never expected that book would be so steamy. xD Don't understand me wrong, I love steamy scenes and steamy books, but that was too much of it. I thought "Yes.. A romance where you can cry your butt off and where you can feel with Korinne".... But then came one steamy scene after another xD i like it, but not in this book, because in my opinion it doesn't fit very well.
3. I mean Galen is a wonderful man and I would love to have him by my side! But (god I'm soo sorry for that "but" all the time LP!) I can't believe how fast they both fell in love with each other! ^^ They haven't seen for years and then they meet at a party and then... BAM... Love is everywhere. It's way too fast in my opinion. A bit slowlier with a bit more conversations between them and I would really love it. I mean, of course Korinne had no idea that Galen left his mom for a while after his dad died, because they never have talked about anything, they just had sex everywhere.^^
But don't think I just hated everything - NO! It was a good read and I enjoyed it, but I want to say some critical facts which I noticed and which I want to tell the author!
I've missed the depth in the story. I had started sooo good, with such a good idea, but it wasn't like I imagined.

Characters
Korinne ~ Kori is such a strong woman and I can't imagine to be in her situation. Thanks LP for writing such a wonderful woman into that book! ♥
Galen ~ I love Galen and I would totally would fall in love with him, like Korinne! *0* He's a kind of a womanizer, but he's also a gentleman! And I really love that mix! :D ♥
Jenna ~ Hahaha Twink! :D I love her so much! lol She's a cool woman who often shows that she actually is a mother hen.. xDD haha jk i really love her
Carson ~ From what we now about him, I would have loved him too. Also a gentleman who loved his woman and his work. Really wonderful!
Rebecca ~ pahahahahaha..... x'DDD She's awesome! Every book need it's own Rebecca in it! haha xD She's stunning. :D

Conclusion
"Love's Second Chance" was a good read and I enjoyed it, but it wasn't what I expected.
3 of 5 stars from me. And a sorry to LP Dover, because I really wanted to start this blogtour with a better result than this, but I had no chance. But many, many hugs and kisses instead of that. *gg* :-* ♥

Author Bio:
I am an avid reader that loves my collection of books. Writing has always been a passion of mine and now I am glad that I get to share my passion with the world. I live in North Carolina and I absolutely love being a southern girl. I spent several years in college starting out with a major in Psychology and then switching to dental. I worked in the dental field for eight years and then decided to stay home with my two beautiful girls. I spent the beginning of my reading years reading suspense thrillers, but now I can't get away from the paranormal/fantasy books. I knew ever since then that if I wrote anything it would be in a paranormal aspect. Now that I have started on my passion and began writing, you will not see me go anywhere without a notebook and pen.

Excerpt:
With each determined step, I made my way over to the man that was beginning to steal my heart … again. Fear and desire coincided within me, but I couldn’t stop. I knew I shouldn’t let him in, but I couldn’t deny the way my heart was beating for this man. It was as if all of my desires, all of the pent up emotions and feelings in my body had me desperate for this man’s touch, Galen’s touch. The man I fell in love with years ago. His eyes grew wider the closer I got, but I knew I wasn’t going to back down. I needed to feel him in every way possible, and I needed it then. In one swift move I crushed my lips to his and wrapped my arms around his neck, holding him tight. His arms engulfed me, protecting me in his embrace, but also unsure of what to do. “What are you doing?” he groaned, breaking away from the kiss. “I thought you wanted to take things slow.” A fire so hot burned behind those pale blue eyes of his, and I knew taking things slow wasn’t going to happen. “I don’t think I can,” I breathed against his lips. “Please don’t say that. I don’t think I can control myself if you let me in. I’ve wanted you from the moment I saw you, and it’s already hard enough to keep my distance.” “I don’t want you to keep your distance.” I sighed. “I need you, Galen, and I need you now.” Those words were all it took for the fire to consume him, to consume us both.
